Job summary

Park View Apartments in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our on-site team. The role focuses on marketing the property, maintaining high occupancy, and presenting a high level of professionalism to residents and prospects.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer service or sales experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability is required, and a base hourly wage with commissions is offered along with

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven customer service and/or sales experience (leasing preferred).
• Very organized, professional, friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of basic math and general office technology preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, prospects, vendors, visitors, and other customers.
• Conduct building tours for prospective residents and input traffic daily into software.
• Lease apartments in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by management.
• Accurately enter new lease information into computer system.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage new and existing lease files.
• Assist in move-in / move-out process.
• Receive and enter resident service requests.
• Assist with resident programs and retention strategies.
• Assist property manager and co-workers in the management and operations of the property.
• Maintain confidentiality in all job responsibilities as it pertains to staff and tenants.
• Follow policies and procedures while complying with Fair Housing, state and federal laws.

This individual must have excellent organizational and people skills as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to join our leasing team.
