Fairlawn is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Illinois. This full-time role focuses on resident services, renewals, move-outs, and accounts receivable, while supporting the Property Manager with a wide range of property management tasks.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, ambitious, and customer-focused, able to manage leasing activities, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing Laws.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience
• 1+ year in property management or real estate preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate superior attention to detail and positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Handle daily operations: answering calls, scheduling, greeting visitors, showing residences and processing paperwork
• Assist Property Manager in setting market rents and running renewal processes
• Supervise turnover including obtaining bids and coordinating small renovations
• Manage resident accounting: rent collection, posting deposits
• Apply sales/marketing strategies to increase property traffic and occupancy
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing Laws and related regulations
