Job summary

DevCo Residential Property Management is seeking a Leasing Professional to execute leasing and renewal strategies, achieving occupancy and revenue goals. This role blends sales, customer service and marketing to lease apartment homes and build relationships with guests and residents.

You will engage prospects, tour units, and guide applicants through applications and move-in. The position requires strong communication, at least 1 year in sales or hospitality, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of sales, customer service, or hospitality experience.
  • Excellent customer service to meet residents' needs in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English adequately for duties.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
  • Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. (I-9).

Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective residents via lead management software, email and phone calls, appointments and follow-ups.
  • Tour and lease apartment homes, guiding applicants through the application, tax credit, and move-in process.
  • Explain leasing documents, community rules, policies, and move-in procedures to residents.
  • Assist with lease agreements, renewals, and screening processes.
  • Inspect apartments before move-in and ensure readiness.
  • Maintain resident management software up to date with charges, dates and data.
  • Record traffic information daily.
  • Manage resident files per company policy, including cloud filing.
  • Assist with tax credit program compliance for move-ins and recertifications.
  • Support resident events, community programs, and local/non-profit initiatives.
  • Assist marketing and leasing efforts including social media, reputation management, advertising, surveys, collateral, curb appeal and pricing.
  • Follow policies on concessions and marketing programs.
  • Ensure show-ready units meet standards; coordinate maintenance needs and clean, sparkling units.
  • Assist with front desk duties: phones, greet visitors, schedule appointments.
  • Respond to resident questions and resolve service issues with escalation as needed.
  • Maintain satisfactory closing ratio and shop program scores aligned with company goals.
  • Stay informed about market conditions affecting occupancy and sales.
  • Keep the property in a healthy, safe, presentable condition; perform cleaning as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects and guests.
  • Complete tasks by deadlines and communicate obstacles to supervisor.
  • Collaborate respectfully with team members and other departments.

Pay Details: $21-$24 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm

About the Position

The Leasing Professional is responsible for executing the community’s leasing and renewal strategies to achieve targeted revenue, occupancy, and resident retention goals by performing all activities related to leasing to new residents, securing resident lease renewals and ensuring resident satisfaction. This role combines sales, customer service and marketing to effectively lease apartment homes and build exceptional relationships with guests and residents.

Job Responsibilities
  • Successfully and promptly engage with prospective residents through the company’s lead management software, email and phone calls, appointments, and follow-up communication, in accordance with company policies.
  • Effectively tour and lease apartment homes, guiding new residents through each step of the application, tax credit, and move-in process.
  • Acquaint new residents with all leasing documentation, community rules and policies, apartment functions, and emergency procedures to ensure resident satisfaction at move-in.
  • Assist with administering lease agreements and addendums, renewals, and prospect screening processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Inspect apartment homes before residents move in, ensuring apartments are ready.
  • Keep associated resident management software up to date, including rent charges, occupants, lease dates, and other data in a timely manner.
  • Accurately record all traffic information daily.
  • Properly maintain all resident files per the Company’s policy, including daily cloud filing.
  • Assist with the compliance requirements of the tax credit program as it relates to the community including new move-ins and re-certifications.
  • Participate in the success of all resident events, community programming, and local/non-profit programs.
  • Support the community's overall marketing and leasing efforts, including social media engagement, reputation management, advertising, market surveys, marketing collateral, curb appeal, and pricing.
  • Follow the community’s established policies regarding concessions, specials, and all other marketing programs.
  • Ensure that the community and made-ready units meet the Company’s standards for show quality by inspecting daily, communicating maintenance and upkeep needs, setting up mini models, and sparkling/touching up clean units as needed.
  • Assist with front desk duties and coverage, including answering phones, greeting customers and vendors, scheduling appointments, and other general office duties as assigned.
  • Respond to resident questions, concerns, and requests in a timely manner, and take appropriate action to resolve and address service issues. Work effectively with Resident Relations to de-escalate and resolve concerns.
  • Maintain a satisfactory closing ratio and shop program score related to the Company’s goals and expectations.
  • Stay informed about current market and competitor conditions that may impact the community’s occupancy and sales results.
  • Maintain the healthy, safe, and presentable condition of the physical asset(s). Complete any cleaning efforts including sweeping, vacuuming, and sanitizing as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all residents, prospects, and guests.
  • Complete assigned tasks by the assigned deadlines and communicate any obstacles with your supervisor in advance.
  • Work collaboratively and respectfully with peers, other team members and departments.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of sales, customer service, or hospitality experience. Previous multifamily leasing experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to address the needs of current and future residents in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen required.
  • Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.
