Job summary

Hines is seeking a Leasing Professional - Multifamily to join our on-site team. You will partner with property management to drive marketing, advertising and leasing efforts, while ensuring resident satisfaction and renewals throughout the lease term.

You will conduct tours, process credit and background checks, manage move-in paperwork, and help achieve occupancy and revenue goals. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience in customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with property management software preferred; Entrada experience a plus.
• Must currently hold or obtain a real estate leasing agent license for the state of Illinois within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours to future residents and visitors.
• Process documentation such as credit screening, background checks, lease and move-in packages, and lease signing.
• Inspect apartments prior to occupancy and ensure condition is excellent before move-in.
• Develop marketing plans to sustain occupancy and stay informed about the market.
• Use promotional items and technology to communicate with prospects and generate revenue.
• Direct marketing, advertising and sales activities to achieve revenue and occupancy goals.
• Assist with the lease renewal program and communication process.
• Build relationships with prospective residents to ensure satisfaction and finalise leasing decisions.

As a Leasing Professional - Multifamily with Hines, you will be responsible for partnering with the team pertaining to the property’s marketing, advertising, and sales activities. You will also provide resident satisfaction throughout the term of the lease and secure resident lease renewals.

• Conduct property tours to future residents and visitors
• Process documentation such as credit screening, criminal background checks, lease and move in packages and lease signing
• Inspect apartments prior to occupancy and ensure the apartment is in excellent condition prior to move in
• Develop marketing plans with the goal to sustain occupancy as well as staying informed about the current market
• Use and create promotional items and technology to communicate with potential prospects and generate revenue
• Ensure the achievement of the property’s revenue and occupancy goals by directing the marketing, advertising and sales actives as well as ensure the apartments are available for occupancy
• Assist with the lease renewal program and the communication process
• Build relationships with prospective and future residents to ensure satisfaction and finalize decisions to lease and/or renew

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Prior experience in customer service or sales experience preferred
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience with property management software preferred; Entrada experience a plus
• Must currently hold or obtain a real estate leasing agent license for the state of Illinois within 120 days
• Work indoors approximately 95% of the time and outdoors approximately 5% of the time
• Use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses to inspect building and detect emergency alarms
• On occasion, perform physical inspections of the property which may include climbing up and down stairs or accessing restrictive openings
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs
• Though occurrences are rare, be accessible 24 hours a day in case of an emergency and perform on-site operations management during natural disasters
• Transfer properties and work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• This position is fully on-site and requires working from the assigned property five days per week
• Compensation: $20/hr - $27/hr
