Job summary

Southern is seeking a Leasing Professional in the United States (Maryland, Cockeysville) to act as a brand ambassador for our communities. The role emphasizes sales, relationship building, and strong communication, with a schedule that includes weekend shifts and weekday off to accommodate Saturdays.

You will manage inquiries through move-in, aim to exceed leasing targets, and perform all paperwork and inspections to uphold quality standards; familiarity with marketing platforms and MS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in leasing, sales, customer service, retail, or hospitality preferred
• Experience with Yardi products is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage the leasing process from first contact to move-in
• Conduct move-in orientations for new residents
• Meet or exceed traffic, application, move-in, wait list, and conversion goals
• Complete all leasing paperwork per internal QA processes
• Inspect apartments and community to ensure quality
• Build positive relationships with team members, customers, and vendors
• Support community engagement and perform other duties as assigned

Job description

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and various online marketing, advertising, and sales platforms. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus. Candidates must be available to work weekends. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a weekday off to accommodate the Saturday schedule.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Encourage and build positive relationships with all team members, customers, and vendors
• Manage the leasing process from first point of contact to move-in
• Execute follow-up plan for future residents who do not rent on first visit
• Meet or exceed traffic, application, move-in, wait list, and conversion ratio goals
• Complete all leasing paperwork and processes per internal quality control processes
• Inspect apartments and the community to ensure product quality
• Conduct new resident move-in orientations
• Contribute to community/company engagement efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Sales aptitude with attention to detail
• Flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational capabilities
• Competence with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proficiency utilizing the internet for marketing, advertising, and sales-related purposes
• Ability to demonstrate behaviors which cultivate a positive professional culture

Pay Rate:

$17.50 - $25.38
