Job summary

The Dinerstein Companies in Ann Arbor is seeking a Leasing Professional to connect residents with their perfect home. You will greet guests, show apartments, and help clients through the leasing process, both virtually and in person.

You will manage social media for the community, follow up on inquiries, and work to renew leases while delivering friendly, high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in sales and customer service.
• Prior leasing experience is a plus.
• Comfortable with all aspects of social media and on-camera.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Must pass background check, credit screening, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Address residents' needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Greet guests, show vacant apartments, and assist customers with securing their home.
• Market the property through events, social media, and partnerships.
• Follow up with customers and close sales daily.
• Negotiate lease renewals and ensure timely service requests are resolved.
• Manage and update the community's social media efforts.

Our Leasing Professionals are the backbone of our company. You will be the customer service gurus that find customers’ homes. You seek to build lasting memories with your clients and have a desire to help. Customer service is in your genes. As a Leasing Professional, you will be:

• Addressing matters involving residents and their needs.
• Wowing our customers daily and getting them to live with us.
• Be part of a team that will take service to the next level and develop ideas on how to improve our service.
• You will be managing and updating the social media efforts of the community.
• "Be the know" about social media incites and execution
• Generate and distribute social media content that engages followers
• Follow up on customers and close sales daily.
• Greet all guests, show vacant apartments virtually and in person, and assist customers with securing their perfect home.
• Market the property through events, social media, and employee partnerships.
• Be an advocate for existing residents and help them renew their leases.
• Prepare resident lease files, and organize their move-in.
• Negotiate renewals with existing residents.
• Follow-up and follow-through to ensure all resident service and other requests are resolved promptly.

To thrive, you should have:

• At least 1 year of experience in sales and customer service.
• Prior experience at a lease-up is desired.
• Comfortable with all aspects of social media. Yes, you will be on camera!
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Must meet company background investigation, credit screening, and drug screening.
• Prior leasing experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods; frequently operate a computer and other office equipment; communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic means; and occasionally move throughout the office to access files, equipment, meeting spaces, and other work areas. The position may require occasional bending, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting or moving items weighing up to 15-20 pounds.
