XL Real Property Management manages residential units across New York City. We're looking for a Leasing Manager to own the leasing function across our portfolio and keep owners, brokers, and property managers aligned on every unit in play.
Oversee the Assistant Leasing Manager, who focuses on lease renewals, and run leasing operations across the portfolio.
Serve as the primary point of contact for a range of ownership groups, each with different reporting expectations and priorities.
Run a weekly leasing/operations meeting to keep the team aligned on upcoming unit turns and open leasing items.
Apply working knowledge of Good Cause Eviction law and rent-stabilized lease requirements to day-to-day leasing decisions.
Draft and issue lease riders in line with company standards.
Manage relationships with multiple outside brokers to keep listings moving and vacancies filled.
Prepare and send non-renewal notices to tenants in compliance with applicable notice requirements.
Generate new leases and renewals, and coordinate directly with Property Managers on unit status, turn timing, and leasing priorities.
Minimum of 3 years of leasing experience in New York City residential property management.
Working knowledge of Good Cause Eviction law and hands-on experience with rent-stabilized leases.
Experience drafting lease riders and generating leases independently.
Comfort managing relationships across multiple ownership groups and multiple outside brokers.
Strong organizational skills — this role runs a recurring cross-team meeting and needs to keep multiple leases, turns, and notices moving at once.
Experience with Monday.com and Appfolio is a plus.
