Qualifications

• Previous apartment leasing or multifamily property management experience preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our multifamily property management team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and sales skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to deliver an exceptional leasing experience from initial inquiry through move-in.

This role is responsible for generating and following up on leasing leads, conducting property tours, converting prospects into leases, coordinating move-ins, and supporting the property's overall occupancy and resident satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to leasing inquiries by phone, email, online platforms, and walk-ins.
• Follow up consistently with prospective residents to convert leads into leases.
• Conduct property tours and effectively showcase apartment homes, amenities, and community features.
• Process rental applications, verify required documentation, and coordinate approvals in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare lease agreements and coordinate move-in scheduling and documentation.
• Maintain accurate prospect records, lead activity, and leasing reports within the property management system.
• Assist with marketing initiatives, online listings, resident referrals, and outreach efforts.
• Monitor competitor properties, rental rates, concessions, and local market trends.
• Maintain model apartments, leasing office presentation, and overall curb appeal.
• Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents.
• Work closely with the Property Manager and maintenance team to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy.
• Support occupancy, leasing, and revenue goals while complying with Fair Housing laws and company policies.

Compensation:

$20-$25 per hour + competitive bonus

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and able to commute to Houston, TX.
