Job summary

Rent Pro PDX in Portland, OR is seeking an outgoing Leasing Field Agent for a full-time role across Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. You will conduct in-person showings, lease apartments, and complete walkthroughs while handling behind-the-scenes tasks like work orders and paperwork.

Strong customer service, communication skills, and familiarity with AppFolio or similar systems are essential. Must have a valid driver’s license, pass a background check, and be available days, two

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leasing experience for multi-family and single-family units.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in leasing and marketing residential rentals with timely walk-throughs and work orders.
• Able to work days, two weeknights, and one weekend day weekly.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, email and internet; AppFolio a plus.
• Knowledge of Oregon landlord/tenant and Fair Housing laws.
• Strong organizational and detail orientation; handle sensitive information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Create and post written advertisements for available units.
• Schedule and conduct unit viewings and tours.
• Manage email/text communications and follow up on time-sensitive information.
• Respond to guest cards and phone inquiries throughout the day.
• Process rental applications and explain Lease Agreements.
• Handle move-in/move-out walkthroughs and prepare units for new residents.
• Post notices and maintain property's appearance; assist with general office tasks.
• Attend weekly office meeting.

Are you an outgoing, experienced Leasing Field Agent in the Portland metro area looking for a full-time position with an established property management company? We require a person who not only provides excellent customer service while leasing homes, but can do the mundane, behind-the-scenes work (paperwork, walk throughs, work orders) that make our properties and thus our company shine. With Rent Pro PDX, you will drive to our rental properties located in primarily in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties to complete in-person showings, leasing, and walkthroughs. These in-person meetings lead to the behind-the-scenes work; creating workorders.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a leasing agent for multi-family and single-family residential units
• Highly proficient in written and verbal communication
• Experience in leasing and marketing residential rentals: ensuring walk throughs and work orders are complete and timely
• Must be available to work, days, two evenings per week and one weekend day per week
• Proficient computer knowledge of Word, Excel, general internet and e-mail applications (knowledge of AppFolio program is a plus)
• Working knowledge of Oregon landlord/tenant laws and Fair Housing Laws
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented
• Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and accurately
• Maintain excellent communication skills with tenants, clients, and vendors
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Duties

• Construct and maintain written advertisements and market available units
• Schedule and conduct unit viewings
• Email and text management, timely follow-through on confidential and time-sensitive information
• Check and respond to guest cards and phone calls throughout the day
• Be available for property and apartment tours
• Lease apartments and follow-up on prospects
• Process rental applications
• Explain and thoroughly complete a Lease Agreement with the tenant
• Handle move-in and move-out walk-through of the unit with the tenant: ensuring properties are prepped for next residents
• Post notices on tenant's doors
• Adhere to all company policies
• Maintain the property’s appearance by picking up trash, light cleaning of laundry rooms, etc.
• General office support: filing, photocopying, data entry, emailing, composing letters, document uploading, etc.
• Attend weekly Monday morning mandatory meeting at the main office

Schedule

• Day shift
• Night shift - 2 nights per week is required
• Weekend availability - one weekend day is required
