Related Affordable Housing is seeking a Leasing Coordinator in Minneapolis to manage day-to-day leasing operations for an affordable housing community. You will handle inquiries, tours, applicant qualification, and accurate lease file preparation in accordance with HUD, LIHTC, and HPD requirements.

The role emphasizes customer service, occupancy management, and collaboration with management to improve marketing and retention while ensuring compliance and timely move-ins.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in leasing, marketing, hospitality, sales or multifamily operations.
• Superb customer service skills.
• Proficient in rent calculation methods (HPD/HUD).
• State Real Estate or Leasing license (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with property management software (RealPage, OneSite, Yardi, JD Edwards).

Responsibilities

• Generate leasing traffic through outreach, tours, and follow-ups.
• Pre-qualify applicants and prepare lease files per HUD/LIHTC/HPD requirements.
• Conduct property tours, open houses, and resident events.
• Log activity in PM system and report leasing performance.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and prospects.
• Coordinate open houses and marketing initiatives to drive occupancy.
• Verify income, assets, and household composition for pre-eligibility.
• Maintain LIHTC and Section 8 compliance and fair housing guidelines.
• Maintain accurate resident folders and deadlines.
