A Day in the Life of a Leasing Consultant at TI Communities
Your day starts with a smile and a purpose. You step into the leasing office, check your calendar, and scan for new leads that came in overnight. A tour is scheduled for 10 a.m., and you’re already thinking about the perfect unit to show – a second-floor, two-bedroom unit with great morning light.
Before the tour, you walk the model unit, fluff the pillows, straighten the blinds, and check that it smells fresh and feels inviting. You know that details make all the difference, and you want prospects to imagine their life here from the moment they step through the door.
At 10 a.m., you greet the prospective resident like an old friend. You ask thoughtful questions about what matters most in their next home. Space for their dog? A quiet spot to work from home? Easy access to schools? You listen, guide, and highlight the features that match their lifestyle. You don’t just sell the apartment; you paint a picture of a life they can be excited about.
After the tour, you follow up with a personalized message and begin processing an application from another prospect who toured yesterday. You keep things moving with speed and accuracy because you know that leasing momentum is key.
In the afternoon, you check in on renewals and follow up with residents who have not yet signed. You might help plan an upcoming resident event or collaborate with your Property Manager on a local outreach campaign to generate more traffic.
You end the day reviewing leads, inputting guest cards, and celebrating a new lease signed. You’ve helped someone find their new home, and that never gets old.
