Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with property management software such as Yardi.
  • Basic math skills for rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to calculate figures.
  • Willingness to work on-site and handle inspections in varied weather.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents, assess housing needs, and qualify applicants.
  • Conduct property tours, highlight features and community amenities.
  • Provide information about schools, shopping, and transportation in the area.
  • Prepare and process lease agreements; collect deposits and complete documentation.
  • Monitor property conditions and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Maintain updated listings of available units and create ads to promote vacancies.
  • Attend team meetings and training to support professional development.

Position Summary

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for engaging prospective residents, showcasing available apartments, and guiding applicants through the leasing process. This role ensures an exceptional customer experience by identifying resident needs, presenting community amenities, and facilitating smooth move-in transitions. The Leasing Consultant also supports ongoing occupancy goals through proactive marketing and property presentation.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Greet prospective residents, assess housing needs, and qualify applicants based on established criteria.
  • Conduct property tours, highlighting apartment features, layouts, and community amenities.
  • Provide accurate information about the local area, including schools, shopping, recreation, and transportation.
  • Prepare and process lease agreements, collect deposits, and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Monitor property conditions, reporting maintenance needs and coordinating necessary repairs.
  • Maintain updated listings of available units and create engaging advertisements to promote vacancies.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to support personal and professional development.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior leasing or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) and property management software such as Yardi.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site, including walking varied terrain, climbing stairs, and inspecting units in all weather conditions.
  • Preferred 1-3 year experience in property management.
  • Bilingual candidate highly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience plus potential bonuses
  • 152 hours (19 days) PTO annually, plus carry-over up to 120 hours and longevity PTO at 6 and 10 years
  • 9 paid holidays
