General Summary

Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Leasing Consultant handles all aspects of leasing production at an apartment community.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Meet, greet, and tour leasing prospects.
2. Achieve individual and group leasing targets; communicate opportunities or threats to the Property Manager.
3. Respond promptly and effectively to all online rental inquiries.
4. Understand site leasing trends, traffic patterns, and product availability.
5. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance for sales & leasing models; report issues promptly.
6. Keep the “tour route” clean and well-maintained; report problems.
7. Close sales effectively by asking for the sale.
8. Ensure lead information is accurate and complete within Resman and Knock.
9. Follow up with prospects via email, phone, or letter.
10. Manage the community waitlist and communicate changes.
11. Warm call prospects as needed.
12. Execute screening procedures properly.
13. Prepare and execute lease agreements and move-in paperwork.
14. Collect all funds and move-in fees accurately.
15. Maintain “model open” signs daily and ensure they look presentable.
16. Support customer service efforts at the community.
17. Perform other tasks as assigned.
