Responsibilities and Requirements

Position Summary

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for providing leasing support for Woodbury Commons Apartments by sourcing prospective tenants, identifying their housing needs, and providing tours of apartments and the community to secure a lease. This role manages all lease documentation, the move-in and move-out processes, and provides customer service to current and prospective tenants.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provides property and apartment tours to prospective tenants
  2. Prepares lease and renewal documents
  3. Works with the Senior Property Manager to monitor and maintain occupancy goals
  4. Facilitates and schedules tenant move-in and move-out processes
  5. Establishes positive relationships with residents to encourage retention
  6. Maintains appointment calendars and assists in preparing move-in booklets and promotional materials
  7. Assists with resident functions, activities, and programs as needed
  8. Performs additional responsibilities and special projects as required

Required Qualifications

Education, Training, and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED with at least one year of sales, hospitality, or leasing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Characteristics

  1. Positive, friendly, and professional attitude with a strong focus on customer service
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  4. Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  5. Flexibility to travel between properties and work flexible hours
  6. Proficiency with property management software such as MRI or Yardi and Microsoft Office
  7. Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners

Physical Demands

The role requires communication, document preparation, and operation of standard office equipment. Ability to lift and move materials up to 10 pounds is necessary.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in office and apartment community environments. Weekend and some evening work are required.
