Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Minneapolis to engage with prospective and current residents with warmth and energy. You will drive marketing, leasing, and renewal efforts to hit occupancy and revenue goals.

The role demands organized, reliable collaboration, timely response to inquiries, and accurate application handling. A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required to support visits across communities.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn and contribute daily.
• Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text.
• Experience with Microsoft products; Yardi and Paycom experience preferred.
• Follow Weidner’s policies and comply with Fair Housing laws.
• Prompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Walk marketing tour path, open target viewing apartments, ensure clean and rent-ready apartments, model homes and community amenities.
• Respond to resident and prospective resident calls and emails promptly in the morning.
• Answer incoming calls, convert phone calls into walk-in traffic, set viewing appointments.
• Tour prospective residents with energy and enthusiasm the Weidner way.
• Facilitate the application process at the end of the tour; review and process applications promptly.
• Maintain and follow up on traffic in queue; shop competitors monthly.
• Adhere to daily marketing and leasing strategies; ensure market-ready spaces and amenities are maintained.
• Be flexible to work at other Weidner properties as needed.

This role is responsible for coordinating the communities marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue retention goals. A successful Leasing Consultant is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work.
