Job summary

SyRES PROPERTIES on Mercer Island, WA, seeks an energetic Leasing Consultant to drive occupancy and resident satisfaction. You will conduct tours, screen applicants, prepare leases, and support renewal strategies in a fast-paced apartment community.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in customer service or leasing, are comfortable with Yardi/MRI, and willing to work weekends to meet high-traffic demand and key leasing goals.

• Availability to work weekends to meet peak demand and conduct tours.

• Convert leads into leases, meet leasing goals, and generate new prospects through events and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate records, assist in reporting, and support the Community Manager with lease renewals, resident files, and compliance with regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Leasing Consultant reports to the Site Property Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in achieving our apartment community’s leasing goals, maximizing occupancy rates, and enhancing resident satisfaction and retention. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations related to leasing apartments, conducting property tours, processing applications, and executing renewal strategies to maintain high levels of resident engagement.

• Goal-oriented with a strong focus on driving leasing performance—consistently setting and achieving occupancy targets through strategic outreach, effective closing techniques, and market awareness.
• Enthusiastic about planning and executing resident events that foster community engagement, enhance resident satisfaction, and contribute to retention efforts.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple responsibilities, including leasing apartments, conducting tours, managing paperwork, and addressing resident needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and comfortable learning or knowing property management software like Yardi, MRI, or other leasing and property management systems.
• Possess a friendly, energetic, and approachable personality that resonates with both prospective and current residents.
• Available to work weekends, which is essential for meeting the needs of potential residents and conducting tours during high-traffic hours.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL REQUIREMENETS:

• Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, reaching
• Noise level may be moderate to high at times

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $20.55 - $25.05/hr. Hourly wage based on relevant experience to the role. Full-time hours.
• Eligible for move-in and renewal commissions, and quarterly bonuses.
• PTO.
• Full benefits package (Medical, dental, vision, cell phone reimbursement)
• 401K with dollar for dollar match up to 4%.
