Job summary

SyRES PROPERTIES is seeking a Leasing Consultant to support leasing goals at a western US property. You will conduct tours, process applications, and execute renewal strategies to maximize occupancy and resident satisfaction.

You will manage listings, coordinate move-ins, and maintain lease records while building relationships to drive renewals and deliver strong occupancy. Weekend availability is preferred to meet demand.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience in sales or leasing.
• Passion for helping people find their ideal apartment home.
• Ability to address concerns with resident-focused solutions.
• Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting occupancy targets.
• Willingness to plan resident events and support retention efforts.

SyRES PROPERTIES is a privately held real estate investment and development firm focused on the acquisition, new development and asset management of institutional quality multifamily residential properties. Our development pipeline and acquisition prospects are concentrated in the western United States including California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada. POSITION SUMMARY

The Leasing Consultant reports to the Site Property Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in achieving our apartment community’s leasing goals, maximizing occupancy rates, and enhancing resident satisfaction and retention. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations related to leasing apartments, conducting property tours, processing applications, and executing renewal strategies to maintain high levels of resident engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote the apartment community, conduct tours, and implement outreach campaigns to drive traffic.
• Manage online listings and social media to increase visibility.
• Facilitate applicant screenings, prepare leases, and ensure smooth move-ins.
• Maintain accurate lease documentation.
• Build relationships to encourage renewals, address concerns, and implement retention strategies.
• Plan and execute resident events and functions to foster a sense of community and enhance overall satisfaction.
• Convert leads into leases, meet leasing goals, and generate new prospects through events and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate records, assist in reporting, and support the Community Manager with lease renewals, resident files, and compliance with regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-2 years of customer service experience, ideally in a sales environment or leasing property management role.
• Passion for helping people find their ideal apartment home.
• Ability to think quickly and provide effective, resident-focused solutions to address concerns and enhance satisfaction.
• Goal-oriented with a strong focus on driving leasing performance—consistently setting and achieving occupancy targets through strategic outreach, effective closing techniques, and market awareness.
• Enthusiastic about planning and executing resident events that foster community engagement, enhance resident satisfaction, and contribute to retention efforts.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple responsibilities, including leasing apartments, conducting tours, managing paperwork, and addressing resident needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and comfortable learning or knowing property management software like Yardi, MRI, or other leasing and property management systems.
• Possess a friendly, energetic, and approachable personality that resonates with both prospective and current residents.
• Available to work weekends, which is essential for meeting the needs of potential residents and conducting tours during high-traffic hours.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIROMENTAL REQUIREMENETS:

• Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, reaching
• Noise level may be moderate to high at times

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $20.55 - $22.80/hr. Hourly wage based on relevant experience to the role. Full-time hours.
• Eligible for move-in and renewal commissions, and quarterly bonuses.
• PTO.

• 401K with dollar for dollar match up to 4%.
