General Summary

Under the supervision of the Property Manager, the Leasing Consultant handles all aspects of leasing production at an apartment community.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet, greet, and tour leasing prospects
• Achieve individual and group leasing targets; communicate opportunities or threats to the Property Manager
• Respond promptly and effectively to all online rental inquiries
• Understand site leasing trends, traffic patterns, and product availability
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance for sales & leasing models; communicate issues promptly
• Keep the “tour route” clean and well-maintained; report problems
• Close leasing processes by asking for the sale
• Ensure lead information is accurate and complete within Resman and Knock
• Follow up with prospects via email, phone, or letter
• Manage the community waitlist and communicate updates
• Warm call prospects as needed
• Execute screening procedures properly
• Prepare and execute lease agreements and move-in paperwork
• Collect funds and move-in fees correctly
• Maintain “model open” signs daily; ensure they are presentable
• Support customer service efforts at the community
• Perform other tasks as directed
