Job summary

• Stay up-to-date on promotions and incentives and complete required inspections.

Position Summary

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for responding to inquiries and leads from prospective clients to identify potential renters, market, lease, and renew apartment leases in accordance with Company standards and Fair Housing guidelines, while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Functions

• Ensure the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the community and local market competitor specials and floor plans.
• Process lease application paperwork for approval of the CM and prepare new lease contracts.
• Inspect target and/or show units in advance, greeting and touring prospects (vacant, model units, and common/amenity areas).
• Inspect pre‑leased apartments before move‑in, communicating concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager.
• Utilize and promote all third‑party online leasing programs appropriately.
• Log all prospect information and notifications accurately in the Property Management software.
• Check, respond to, and document community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages.
• Stay up‑to‑date with all promotion/ leasing incentives.
• Assist with completing the Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist (MOVIC) within the specified deadline per Company standards.
• Post notices to vacate and other community communications, where applicable.
• Assist with daily community inspections to ensure policies are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing or customer‑service role.
• Demonstrated sales and closing skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Where required by law, must have a state leasing license or the ability to obtain the required license(s) within the required timeframe.

Work Schedule

Monday‑Friday (work schedule may vary depending on business needs).

Physical Requirements / Environment

Full range of motion with upper and lower body; continual movement including standing, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, and climbing stairs; operating a motor vehicle onsite if applicable; exposure to all weather conditions; lifting at least 20 pounds.

Pay Range

$20.12 - $30.18
