Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Columbus, Georgia to manage property leasing activities. You'll greet and tour prospective residents, complete leasing paperwork, and assist with resident retention programs.

Position

Leasing Consultant

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage property leasing and administration.
  • Attend the property daily.
  • Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour the community, and sign a lease.
  • Coordinate all closing activities, including appointments, lead generation, tours, unit maintenance, and follow‑up.
  • Complete all leasing paperwork before move‑in.
  • Assist with lease audits, unit walkthroughs, and turn processes.
  • Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data; respond to leads within 24 hours.
  • Utilize sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and exceed leasing goals.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Handle resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing and implementing resident retention programs.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of office, common areas, and model units.
  • Support marketing and outreach initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing the annual marketing plan.
  • Review and complete market surveys and analyses to generate ideas and formulate plans.
  • Maintain product knowledge of the property, competition, and market conditions; produce weekly market survey reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service and manage service request turnaround.
  • Project a favorable image of the community to achieve objectives and public recognition.
  • Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters.
  • Enforce community policies as delegated by the supervisor.
Education / Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform on‑site software functions.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular movement throughout the workplace, including walking, lifting, and moving objects up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent use of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and step stools.
  • Frequent stationary standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Occasional movement in tight or enclosed spaces, overhead positions, and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and in extreme temperatures.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Compensation is determined by experience and qualifications. Full‑time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance; a 401(k) with employer matching; commission and performance bonuses as applicable; paid sick days; and company holidays.
