Corcoran New Development - Leasing Associate
Corcoran New Development had a successful year in 2024, introducing some of NYC’s most prominent developments across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. We plan to expand our coverage in 2025, including opening new construction properties throughout the city. Our division aims to be one of the few in the industry with projects in all five NYC boroughs and New Jersey.
We are excited to announce a new leasing project in Mott Haven, a primarily residential neighborhood in the Bronx. We are seeking a Leasing Associate to play a vital role in our real estate operations, ensuring units are leased efficiently. Candidates must be willing to work weekends.
Core Duties
- Respond to incoming inquiries daily and schedule property tours for interested prospects.
- Provide overviews for all general inquiries received at the leasing office.
- Conduct property and residence tours, presenting compelling information tailored to prospects’ needs and concerns.
- Follow up on questions, concerns, and requests from prospects or their agents, actively pursuing all leads.
- Provide clear application instructions regarding the leasing and approval process.
- Develop monthly rental rate and concession reports for the property's competitive set.
- Maintain property pricing grids and inventory.
- Assist in creating daily and weekly leasing traffic reports for the developer and team.
- Negotiate rental terms as needed and facilitate lease signings.
- Interact daily with new development management regarding customer and property feedback.
- Update property advertising.
- Assist in creating property condition feedback and comparable reports.
- Support leasing and administrative tasks for the Leasing Director daily.
- Build relationships with local brokerage firms to increase outside activity.
- Work under the guidance of the Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director of New Development rentals.
Job Requirements
- Valid NYS Real Estate Salesperson or Associate Broker License required.
- Experience in the rental market is preferred.
- At least 3 years of proven real estate brokerage experience, with a minimum of 1 year in new development marketing or onsite leasing.
- Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact with potential residents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing market conditions and construction timelines.
- Meticulous organization skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with On-site.com tenant screening software.
