Leasing Agent - New Construction/Lease Up

Yellow Tree, an award-winning Minneapolis-based real estate firm, is hiring a Leasing Consultant for a Class-A, new construction, market-rate community in Farmington, MN. This role is ideal for someone in the South Metro (Lakeville, Apple Valley, Rosemount) ready to advance their leasing career and make an immediate impact.

In this role, you’ll lead leasing operations and collaborate with property management and marketing teams to develop and execute strategic plans to lease up and stabilize the property. Your focus will be to build relationships, lease apartments, and create an exceptional resident experience.

Position Summary

We seek an experienced Leasing Agent for our newest property in Farmington, MN. You will work with the Property Manager and Leasing & Marketing Manager to set operational goals and develop strategic plans for leasing and stabilization.

Essential Functions
  1. General Operations
  • Ensure property meets daily expectations per company standards.
  • Conduct regular property and grounds walks to ensure compliance, appearance, and safety.
  • Oversee leasing operations, including lease administration, budgets, forecasting, reporting, marketing, lease renewals, and revenue programs.
  • Manage property leasing performance and key metrics (market analysis, revenue, occupancy).
  • Understand financial goals and assist in budget management.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership, residents, and ownership.
  • Customer Service
    • Address prospective resident concerns and requests appropriately.
    • Provide outstanding service to enhance satisfaction, reduce turnover, and increase revenue.
    • Create a positive living experience for residents.
  • Marketing & Leasing
    • Analyze sub-market monthly to understand market drivers.
    • Create and implement marketing initiatives to boost revenue.
    • Develop leasing strategies to fill vacancies and pre-lease future units.

    • High School diploma or equivalent; college-level education preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (Entrata preferred).
    • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites.
    • Strong follow-up, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Must pass background check and drug test.
