Leasing AgentJob PurposeThe Leasing Agent is responsible for leasing residential properties, maintaining high occupancy levels, and providing front-line administrative support to our Property Managers. This position serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, ensuring excellent customer service and effective office support, including answering phones, managing voicemail, and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks.The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and experience in leasing, sales, marketing, or administrative support preferred. Success in this role requires the ability to effectively communicate property features, build relationships with prospective residents, stay organized across multiple priorities, and provide reliable day-to-day support to the property management team.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket available apartments and rental properties to prospective tenants.Respond to leasing inquiries and conduct property tours.Explain lease terms, rental rates, policies, and property amenities to prospective residents.Process rental applications, verify applicant information, and coordinate resident screenings.Prepare lease agreements, lease renewals, and move-in documentation.Maintain occupancy goals through proactive leasing and resident retention efforts.Answer phones, monitor and return voicemails promptly, and route calls to the appropriate team member.Serve as a point of contact for residents regarding questions, concerns, and service requests, escalating to Property Managers as needed.Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely completion.Maintain accurate tenant, leasing, and property records.Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections and processes.Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, and company policies.Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and contractors.Provide general administrative and secretarial support to Property Managers, including filing, correspondence, data entry, and scheduling.Support overall property operations to maximize resident satisfaction.Required EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Required Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of residential leasing and tenant relations practices.Strong sales and customer service skills with the ability to successfully lease available units.Understanding of Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and leasing compliance requirements.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong phone etiquette.Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple leasing activities and administrative tasks simultaneously.Proficiency in property management software, leasing platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.Ability to resolve resident concerns and handle conflict professionally and effectively.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accountability.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
