Western States Lodging and Management seeks a friendly Leasing Agent to start a career in multifamily housing in Salt Lake City. This entry-level role offers hands-on training, tours of communities, and exposure to resident relations and property operations.

You'll handle inquiries by phone, email, and in person, assist applicants with applications and leases, run background checks, and support marketing and daily admin tasks while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, or related experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and word processing applications.
• Willingness to learn and accept coaching from supervisors.
• Previous leasing or apartment industry experience.
• Basic knowledge of Fair Housing laws and rental housing regulations.
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi or similar platforms.

• Conduct credit and background screenings in accordance with company policies.

• Support the property management team with daily administrative responsibilities.

Leasing Agent - Launch Your Career in Property Management

This entry-level position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and wants to build a career in the multifamily housing industry.

As a Leasing Agent, you'll work closely with an experienced team while learning the fundamentals of apartment leasing, resident relations, and property operations. You'll receive guidance and training as you develop the skills needed to succeed and grow within our organization.

• Competitive Pay - $18 - 20 hourly.
• The starting rate is based on experience and qualifications. This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.
