Responsibilities
The Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager and assists with daily property operations to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition.
- Assist with leasing efforts to maintain high occupancy, including mailing renewal offers, logging responses, and managing property availability.
- Ensure accurate records of availability align with lease renewal reports.
- Approve, enter, and present rental applications to the General Manager for approval.
- Manage property licenses and renewals in coordination with legal counsel and city authorities.
- Assist with the check-out process, ensuring compliance with final account statements, accepting keys, and inspecting vacated units.
- Ensure accurate and efficient lease signing and resident check-ins.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns and complaints, fostering good relations and reporting issues to the General Manager.
- Prepare weekly performance reports as required.
- Assist in marketing and advertising programs to promote the property.
- Develop and implement resident retention initiatives.
- Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, staff, and vendors.
- Answer phones and perform general administrative duties such as filing and typing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance preferred.
- Proficiency with office equipment and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Entrata (preferred).
- Strong record-keeping and numerical analysis skills.
- Attention to grammatical and legal accuracy in documents.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Positive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Effective communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow procedures and think rationally beyond instructions.
