Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a Leasing Agent in Indianapolis, IN to drive occupancy through consultative selling and strong relationship building. You will respond to inquiries, present housing options, and guide applicants through the lease process.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least three years of sales or customer-facing experience, and a valid State Real Estate License. Weekend availability and proficiency with Microsoft Office are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience is required.
• A valid State Real Estate License is required.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives occupancy by responding to inquiries from prospective residents and following up.
• Engages with potential tenants, presenting housing options to encourage applications and leases.
• Negotiates lease terms and explains leases and documents to new tenants clearly.
• Performs leasing activities in compliance with applicable laws to maximize occupancy.
• Collaborates with underwriting and leasing teams to guide applicants through the leasing journey.
• Keeps up-to-date with company policies and procedures to ensure compliant practices.

Responsibilities include prospect rapport prospective resident needs, presenting compelling housing solutions, and closing leases.Responsibilities:Drives leasing performance by responding to and following up on inquiries from perspective residentsEngage with potential tenants, offering compelling insights into our housing options to encourage applications.Skillfully negotiate lease terms and provide thorough explanations of leases and related documents to new tenants.Performs leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancyCollaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to navigate applicants through the leasing journey.Stay informed about our company’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance and up-to-date practices.Requirements:A High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum three (3) years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience required.Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.A valid State Real Estate License is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.Outstanding communication abilities and analytical skills to solve problems effectively.Ability to build relationships, organize tasks, and deliver top-notch customer service.Flexibility to work weekends is required.CompensationThe anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $21.09 to $25.30 Hourly.
