Job summary

Crimson Group seeks a Lease Operator for Midland, Texas, to oversee lease production and ensure wells are safely producing at maximum rates. You will measure daily production, inspect facilities, manage seal records, and report data in TOW, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

This is a full-time on-site role requiring 4–7 years of pumping experience and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include troubleshooting operational issues, tracking production metrics, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4-7 years of experience as a Pumper/Lease Operator.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to anticipate and recognize problems, then develop solutions with minimal coaching.
• Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy of all reports.
• Safety mindset in performing day-to-day tasks.
• Adequate knowledge to identify downhole problems.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide lease surveillance of operated properties to assure wells are producing at maximum rates and related equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently.
• Accurately measure and report daily production.
• Inspect facilities routinely for operational safety and environmental compliance.
• Accurately gauge production tanks daily.
• Report complete production data in TOW.
• Troubleshoot and repair day-to-day operational issues.
• Keep accurate seal records.
• Review amp readings to ensure pump units are in balance.
• Develop awareness to optimize production.
• Track goals and plans for properties using Scout monthly.
• Witness sales of oil and condensate (LACT meter provings, Crude Transfer tickets).
• Correct unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
• Maintain and use safety equipment as required.
• Ensure all warning signs are in place and in good condition.
• Safeguard assets; report security violations.
• Report environmental incidents or potential incidents.
• Review repair procedures to minimize hazards and environmental impact.
• Read and be familiar with State Environmental Compliance Regulations.
• Perform maintenance on lease equipment.
• Check surface equipment daily and pumps for seal leaks.
• Provide recommendations for increased profitability of lease.
• Stay abreast of new production techniques.
• Prepare written reports on ideas and changes with reasons and cost.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4-7 years of experience as a Pumper/Lease Operator.
