Job summary

TG Natural Resources LLC in Texas is seeking a Lease Operator I to safely and efficiently run the company’s natural gas system. This entry‑level role provides hands‑on training in troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and equipment start‑up.

You will collect data, inspect locations, report production and downtime, and ensure EH&S compliance while building relationships with landowners. Once trained, you’ll assist with repairs and support daily operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.
  • Must be able to perform simple daily tasks with hand tools.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Oilfield experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong work-ethic and goal-driven.
  • Ability to learn and retain task knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned locations to gather, record, and report production data.
  • Inspect locations for leaks, spills, and issues and notify supervisor.
  • Ensure proper reporting of production and downtime.
  • Maintain proper production rate throughout the system.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with land owners to maintain productive relationships.
  • Once trained, troubleshoot, repair, and rectify issues as necessary.
  • Record daily production and process paperwork, inspections, timecards, and expense reports.
  • Follow all company and regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Respond to unscheduled callouts outside normal hours when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Lease Operator I is responsible for the safe, efficient daily operation of the company’s natural gas system. This entry-level role receives training to perform troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and equipment start-up activities.

Requirements
  • Travel to assigned locations to gather, record, and report relevant information, including gauges, fluids, pressures, production, and related operational data, in an accurate and consistent manner.
  • Inspect locations for leaks, spills, and potential issues. Notify immediate supervisor promptly of relevant issues or significant production loss.
  • Ensure proper reporting of production and downtime.
  • Maintain proper production rate throughout the system.
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with land owners to maintain a productive relationship.
  • Once fully trained, troubleshoot, repair, and correct issues as necessary.
  • Record daily production and process all paperwork, inspections, timecards, and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Follow all company and regulatory agency rules and regulations.
  • Respond timely to unscheduled callouts outside of normal business hours when required.
  • Perform all other duties required for which the employee is qualified and trained.
Qualifications

Physical Demands and Exposures
  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to individually lift: Maximum 100 lbs.
  • Possible exposures to gas/ liquid hydrocarbons and salt water.
