Job summary

Danos seeks a Lease Operator to monitor, optimize, and maintain oil and gas production and injection wells on a rotating schedule. You will ensure peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment while supporting Health, Environment and Safety processes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in oil and gas operations, strong technical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot production systems, work independently, and collaborate with teams to keep facilities running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must have access to a pickup truck or be willing to provide one.
• In depth understanding of upstream facilities including separation, pumping, gathering, tankage, metering, and compression.
• Ability to work independently and with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize production and injection wells and store data.
• Support health, environment, and safety processes and follow regulations.
• Operate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain oil and gas production equipment.
• Perform duties in operations including plunger lift, dehydration, compression; optimize artificial lift.
• Test wells and acquire fluid level information.
• Record keeping and data input.
• Monitor computer control systems.
• Test safety devices.
• Operate and monitor SCADA.
• Collaborate with employees and contractors to maintain peak efficiency.
• Create work orders in CMMS for inventory and planning.
• Ensure all work adheres to regulatory and customer standards.
• Drive on a routine basis.

Overview

As a Lease Operator you will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining oil and gas production and injection wells on a rotational schedule. You will ensure peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment, support Health, Environment, and Safety processes. The role requires extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A successful candidate must have a deep understanding of oil and gas and be capable of troubleshooting various production systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring and optimization of all production and injection wells. This includes all process variables, ensuring that all production equipment is operating at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data.

• Actively supports health, environment, and safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices.

• Operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains oil and gas production equipment.

• Perform duties (as detailed below) associated with oil and gas producing operations; including but not limited to plunger lift wells, process equipment, compression, dehydration, etc.:

• • Optimizing artificial lift systems.

• • Testing wells.

• • Acquires fluid level information.

• • Records keeping and data input.

• • Monitors computer control systems.

• • Tests safety devices.

• • Operates and monitors of SCADA.

• • Partners with other employees, and contractors to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak efficiency.

• • Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System to create work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization.

• • Assures all work performed adheres to customer's operational excellence standards and regulatory requirements.

• • Drives on a routine basis.

• • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least three years operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries.

• Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime based on work activity.

• The position will require a pick-up truck to perform duties. The provider will need to provide a truck for the individual.

• Position will be required to take callouts on a rotating schedule.

• 5+ years operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries, including experience with regulations and the maintenance and testing requirements associated with related safety devices.

• In depth understanding of upstream facilities including, but not limited to: separation, pumping, gathering, tankage, lact sales, metering, and compression.

• Broad knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and maintain major oil and gas production facility process systems including: mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and production equipment.

• Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision.

• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.
