Job summary

jade owls is seeking an experienced Lease Operator to support daily field operations and production optimization. This outdoor, field-based role involves operating wells and production equipment, performing safety inspections, and coordinating with Foremen to ensure compliant and efficient production.

You will measure production volumes, report daily results, and assist with training entry-level Operators while maintaining strong landowner relationships.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Process Tech or Maintenance Tech degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wells, tanks, pumps, and production equipment.
• Perform daily inspections to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues independently.
• Measure production volumes and recommend optimization improvements.
• Complete accurate daily production and equipment reports.
• Prepare oil tanks for sale and coordinate oil and water hauling.
• Ensure compliance with OCC, BIA, BLM, OSHA, and OK DEQ requirements.
• Participate in route reviews and collaborate with Foremen and Engineering.
• Maintain positive landowner and community relationships.
• Provide coverage for Foremen and assist with training entry-level Operators as needed.

Work Environment

• Outdoor field work in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to hazardous equipment and H2S environments
• Working independently more than 80% of the time
