United States Postal Service seeks a contract management specialist to support facility heads by interpreting leases and enforcing maintenance obligations. The role involves developing and administering landlord agreements related to Postal properties.
You will guide local maintenance teams, analyze contracts, coordinate with design professionals, and ensure compliance with lease terms. Strong negotiation and real estate law knowledge are required to manage the full life cycle of contracting
Supports facility heads with lease interpretation and enforcement in regards to maintenance matters. Develops, administers, and enters into agreements with landlords and their representatives.
1. Reviews and interprets lease agreements to support Postal facilities with building maintenance issues.
2. Provides direction and guidance to facilities, local maintenance departments, and other contract personnel to ensure compliance with lease agreements.
3. Analyzes contracts to determine the roles and responsibilities agreed upon at time of settlement. Determines appropriate manner in which to enforce contract agreements.
4. Communicates with landlords and their representatives; contractors and consultants; local, state, and federal officials; and other parties of interest on Postal real estate and maintenance issues.
5. Manages the enforcement of landlord maintenance contracts. Develops statements of work, reviews proposals, coordinates efforts between Facilities and the design and constriction professionals, and tracks performance.
