Job summary

RiseMe seeks a Lease and Contracts Specialist to support administration, maintenance, and control of lease and contract records for producing and non-producing properties and interests. You will apply advanced knowledge of lease obligations and land records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely management of payments, expirations, and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ yrs. of Oil and Gas Lease/Land experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn additional systems and applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Quorum Land System and/or SAP preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential and proprietary company information appropriately.
• Solid understanding of land principles, lease obligations, and land records management.
• General understanding of land terminology and contracts with the ability to work independently on assignments of increased complexity under general direction.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and input lease and contract data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across land systems.
• Prepare full releases and Exhibit A documents for assignments and contracts.
• Manage and maintain monthly lease calendars to track rentals, shut-ins, minimum royalties, expirations, and other payment obligations.
• Determine rental payments, obligations, and expirations necessary to maintain leases in good standing.
• Conduct lease and unit reviews for shut-in wells and process related payments, subject to review and approval.
• Process payments and billing records resulting from ownership changes, including assignments, deeds, probate, and related transactions.
• Review lease obligations monthly and make recommendations regarding rentals, shut-ins, minimum royalty payments, and associated expirations.
• Identify and resolve routine anomalies independently and refer more complex issues to senior staff as appropriate.
• Input lease extensions for non-producing properties in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Maintain and update land records, including payments, amendments, and supporting documentation.
• Research private and public records using online resources to support lease administration and issue resolution.
• Respond to landowner inquiries and work collaboratively with Land Operations and Land Administration team members to resolve issues effectively.
• Assist Land Operations with preparation of agreements as requested, including pooling, communitization, and exhibit documentation.
• Provide support to Land Operations and the Lease and Contracts team on special projects and initiatives as needed.
• Perform work in accordance with company standards, processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintain awareness of industry practices and trends by participating in internal and external educational opportunities and developing professional affiliations.

Overview

The Lease and Contracts Specialist supports the effective administration, maintenance, and control of lease and contract records for producing and non‑producing properties and interests acquired, owned, operated, or purchased by the Company.
