Job summary

Stevenson School is seeking a Learning Support Specialist for the Lower and Middle Divisions in Pebble Beach, CA. This full-time, 10-month role collaborates with faculty to design interventions, develop Student Accessibility Plans, and monitor student progress.

The position requires a Bachelor's (Master's preferred) and at least 3 years’ experience supporting neurodiverse learners, with strong collaboration and communication skills. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
• Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Therapy, School Psychology, Reading Specialist, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with neurodiverse students.
• Experience implementing Student Accessibility Plans / IEPs.
• Experience in independent/public school or elementary/middle school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group academic support for Lower Division students.
• Design evidence-based interventions in reading, writing, mathematics, executive functioning, organization, study skills, and self-advocacy.
• Develop, implement, and revise Student Accessibility Plans.
• Collaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction and accommodations.
• Maintain confidential student records and progress data; monitor progress.
• Coordinate with families and outside providers to support student success.
