Job summary

Behavior Genius, LLC is seeking a Learning Support Specialist to work hands-on with clients in group and 1:1 settings, supporting social-emotional development, communication skills, daily living skills, and behavior regulation.

You will thrive in a collaborative, classroom-like environment that values inclusivity and belonging, while delivering targeted interventions and tracking progress alongside families and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals who are at-risk or have specialized support needs, especially in structured settings.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized intervention plans within group and one-on-one learning environments.
• Embed social-emotional learning strategies into daily activities.
• Support skill development across communication, daily living, self-advocacy, and interpersonal growth.
• Partner with supervisors and families to track progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
• Foster open communication and teamwork across departments to ensure consistent support for clients.
• Create engaging, supportive environments where clients feel safe to learn and belong.

Learning Support Specialist

Position Overview

Learning Support Specialists at Behavior Genius are builders at heart - dedicated to creating dynamic, relationship-centered learning environments. In this role, you will work hands-on with clients in both group and 1:1 settings, supporting social-emotional development, communication skills, daily living skills, and behavior regulation. Within our collaborative, classroom-like environment, you will help clients learn, grow, and thrive while modeling inclusivity and belonging.

Key Responsibilities

Intervention & Support

Deliver individualized intervention plans within group and one-on-one learning environments.

Embed social-emotional learning strategies into daily activities.

Support skill development across communication, daily living, self-advocacy, and interpersonal growth.

Collaboration & Communication

Partner with supervisors and families to track progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.

Foster open communication and teamwork across departments to ensure consistent support for clients.

Community Engagement

Create engaging, supportive environments where clients feel safe to learn and belong.

Contribute to a positive, community-focused culture aligned with the Behavior Genius mission.

$20 - $22 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).

Minimum availability requirement

10 hours per week within at least one of the following designated time slots:

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm (The full 10-hour requirement must fall into a single time slot, though additional slots are welcomed.)

Requirements

Qualifications Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Experience working with individuals who are at-risk or have specialized support needs, especially in structured settings.


• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).


• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.


• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential (we offer paid training if eligible).


• Passion for supporting whole-child development and social-emotional growth.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Experience in group learning environments (classrooms, camps, or learning centers).


• Flexibility, creativity, and a solutions-focused approach.


• Commitment to building inclusive, supportive communities.
