Job summary

Rutherford County Schools - Tennessee seeks a ParaPro educator to assist teachers and support student learning. You will reinforce skills in small groups, provide feedback, and model positive behavior for students in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities include following directions, managing routine activities, and completing tasks under the supervision of a certified teacher. Strong communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Hold an associate degree or higher; OR 48 hours college coursework; OR pass the ETS Para-Pro Assessment.
• Working computer knowledge.
• Multi-tasked oriented; Firm; Team Player.
• Must be able to work with small groups of students to reinforce skills and provide constructive academic feedback.
• Must be a positive role model for young children.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Establish effective schedule and work routines.
• Able to work under the direction of a certified teacher and complete assigned duties.
