Job summary

Devereux Pocono Center is seeking a Learning Specialist to schedule and deliver training for staff, applying a range of adult learning techniques. The role emphasizes supporting behavioral health programs and employee development.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related experience, plus familiarity with LMS platforms and data collection tools. A collaborative, multidisciplinary environment is offered with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Devereux Pocono Center provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA the Learning Specialist schedules and delivers training and development to Devereux employees using a variety of instructional strategies and activities suited for adult learners.

Payrate: $19.11/hr-$21.79/hr dependent upon experience

Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in development, education, training, or related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a behavioral healthcare setting. At least 1 year of experience conducting staff training and development, preferably in health care or social services setting. Instructor's certification in First Aid, CPR, and Crisis Prevention/Intervention preferred. Experience with learning management systems and data collection/analyzing platforms (Absorb, MyAvatar, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position) preferred.
