AAA Central Penn is seeking a Learning Specialist for the Insurance team in Harrisburg. You will develop, support, and inspire our Insurance staff, leading onboarding and guiding skill development.

You will be the go-to expert on products, systems, and training, blending coaching, curriculum design, and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in the field.
• Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and suppliers.
• Experience designing or delivering training and coaching others.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and guide new team members to success.
• Design and deliver engaging training curricula, materials, tests, and role-play.
• Lead onboarding, ongoing training, refresher sessions, and cross-department learning.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback.
• Provide call coaching, quality monitoring, and on-the-job support.
• Collaborate with Insurance leadership to set training standards.
• Supervise new Insurance team members through early development.
• Recognize achievements and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Lead Insurance technology initiatives and act as system administrator for supplier portals.
• Serve as first point of contact for product, system, and process questions.

What You'll Bring

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong insurance industry knowledge and familiarity with insurance suppliers.
• Experience developing or delivering training, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Confidence working with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and insurance systems.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to analyze information, solve practical problems, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort presenting to groups, preparing reports, and creating clear documentation.
• Flexibility to support training needs that may occur outside standard business hours.
