Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates is seeking a Learning Specialist for a boarding school in Meriden, New Hampshire, starting Fall 2026. This role focuses on academic and executive functioning support for upper school students, with opportunities to collaborate with faculty and families.

As a learning specialist, you will develop and monitor Learning Support Plans, provide one-on-one and small group instruction, and assist with residential life and school activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in special education or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Learning Support experience for upper school students.
• Strong knowledge of IEP and 504 processes and accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Tutor 10-12 students per week during school day and afterschool.
• Provide one-on-one and small group academic and executive functioning support.
• Develop and monitor Learning Support Plans (LSPs).
• Collaborate with faculty through observations and instructional support.
• Coordinate communication among families, outside providers, and school personnel.
• Assist with residential life duties and supervising extracurricular activities as needed.
