Job summary

Envision Education seeks an Education Specialist (Special Education) for the 2026-2027 school year for Impact Academy High School and Middle School in Hayward, CA.

In addition to the base salary, this opportunity includes $5,000 Special Education supplement and/or $3,500 MA supplement for candidates with a MA degree. Annual starting salary range is $63,672 - $102,546, with several supplements and leadership stipends described in the posting.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.
  • Valid California Teaching Credential or out of state equivalent with ability to transfer required.
  • Demonstrated success working with parents and families, especially Black, African American, Latine/a/o/x, and immigrant families.
  • Continuous California residency after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead case management of students with IEPs.
  • Train and provide direction to assigned Instructional Assistants.
  • Coordinate service providers and create schedules of service minutes that meet each student's IEP requirements.
  • Collaborate with School Psychologist and Associate Director Special Education to conduct assessments and prepare IEP reports.
  • Create and modify lesson, unit, and instruction plans.
  • Implement accommodations and modifications to ensure learning success in general education classrooms.
  • Regularly analyze student data and devise strategies to improve instruction.
  • Build strong relationships with families.
  • Lead IEP teams and facilitate IEP meetings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Principal the Education Specialist will lead students in an academic vision of success that focuses on each student's IEP goals, Envision’s graduate profile, and college/career readiness.

  • Lead case management of students with IEP's.

  • Create and modify lesson, unit, and instruction plans.
  • Implement accommodations, and modifications to ensure students’ learning success in general education classrooms.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual starting salary range of $63,672 - $102,546 dependent upon years of aligned experience and credentials.

  • Additional Supplements for:
    • Special Education: $5,000
    • Second Credential: $500
    • Masters Degree: $3,500
    • Doctorate: $2,000
    • Board Certification: $5,000
    • City Arts and Leadership Supplement: $5,000
    • Lead Learning Specialist (SPED): $10,000
  • Additional Leadership Stipends for:
    • Instructional Lead Team: $5,000
    • Grade Level Lead Team: $5,000
    • Summer Professional Development: $250/day
