Job summary

Engage the Brain, LLC in Maitland, Florida, is seeking a learning specialist, special educator, or speech-language pathologist to deliver 1:1 literacy instruction (reading, language arts, written expression) to learners from PreK through high school. In-person, W-2 employee, immediate start.

You will plan explicit lessons, embed Executive Functioning skills, monitor progress, and communicate with families. Clinical Fellowship Year candidates are welcome and supervision is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education and/or at least three years of teaching experience (master's degree preferred) or
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with CCC earned or CFY in progress
• Orton-Gillingham coursework completed (preferred) or Structured Literacy trained

The Role

We are looking for a learning specialist, special educator, or speech-language pathologist who loves teaching reading, language arts, and written expression in 1:1 sessions with learners from PreK through high school. Clinical Fellowship Year candidates are welcome, and we provide supervision.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education and experience (one of the following):

• A bachelor's degree in education and/or at least three years of teaching experience (master's degree preferred), or
• A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Communication Sciences and Disorders), with the Certificate of Clinical Competence earned or a Clinical Fellowship Year in progress

Also required:

• Orton-Gillingham coursework completed (preferred) or Structured Literacy trained
• A minimum of 15 learner hours per week
• Availability at least two afternoons a week, 3:30–6:30 pm
• In-person work only, in Maitland and surrounding area schools

Schedule

Set your own schedule between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with at least two afternoons a week available from 3:30 to 6:30 pm. Hours are available immediately, and the start date is immediate.

Compensation and Benefits

• $32–$45 per hour, depending on experience
