Northeastern University is looking for a Learning Specialist in Boston. The role involves program management, LMS administration, and creating e-learning content using Articulate. This individual will train staff, oversee course logistics, and analyze learning metrics to enhance training initiatives.

The Learning Specialist provides program management, LMS (Workday) administration and Articulate content development work. Utilize Workday Learning to create learning content, campaigns, enrollment, attendance, and data reporting. Train divisional administrators and have accountability for and/or approval of related processes. Build digital and e-learning modules from existing content to support new hire onboarding and employee skill building. Interface with participants, internal contacts, and outside vendors to plan and organize training programs. Provide oversight and backup support for marketing, registration and training logistics including troubleshooting and coordinating trainer needs.
Research and evaluate programs and tools and recommend creative and strategic methods to support learning initiatives. Partners in identifying possible resources to deliver professional development programming and career development initiatives. May learn to facilitate developed workshops and will be asked to introduce or co‑lead focus groups or small programs. Collects and assimilates learning metrics and evaluation data for presentation purposes (working in collaboration with the Learning Consultant); collaborating to update the learning system; and creating documentation and quick reference guides to promote learning at all levels.
This role will be on campus 4 days a week. Ideal schedule is Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri in office and Wednesdays remote.
Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience in human resources management, training and development, and/or learning design, organizational communications, or other related fields.
