Job summary

Raspberry Pi Foundation seeks a Learning Manager to develop and deliver learning experiences, resources and educator training across South Africa. The role focuses on adapting resources to local needs and delivering professional development for teachers and advisers.

The position may be full-time, part-time or flexible, with travel within South Africa and occasional international travel to the UK and Kenya. A teaching qualification or substantial teaching experience is essential.

Qualifications

• A thorough understanding of computing, with a qualification in computer science or a related subject.
• A teaching qualification, or significant experience of teaching computing or a related subject.
• Experience designing learning experiences and resources in South African schools.
• Experience designing synchronous and/or asynchronous training for adult educators.
• Willingness to travel within South Africa and to the UK and Kenya if required.
• Commitment to the Foundation’s mission and values, including diversity, equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver learning experiences, content, resources, and training for the Foundation’s programmes.
• Design and support training and ongoing professional development for teachers and subject advisors.
• Ensure learning resources are informed by evidence and reflect teaching and learning best practices.
• Follow quality assurance processes with inclusion and accessibility in mind.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to improve approaches to teaching and learning.
• Keep up to date with relevant research and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation to external audiences and stakeholders.
• Contribute to thought leadership through articles, blogs, public speaking, research, and evaluation.
• Utilise feedback and data from users to implement improvements.
• Travel within SA and internationally if required.
