Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience facilitating instructor-led training.
• Proven design and development of instructor-led and blended solutions.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and ADDIE/SAM.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience with DEIB discussions and leadership development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual platforms.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate instructor-led training in-person and virtually using established curricula.
• Travel statewide to deliver in-person sessions as needed.
• Deliver training on leadership, communication, EI, team effectiveness, change, conflict, performance, inclusion.
• Create engaging learner-centered materials: facilitator guides, workbooks, slides, job aids.
• Apply ADDIE/SAM and collaborate with SMEs to develop content.
• Collect feedback and learning metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain attendance, evaluation, and training records.
• Manage multiple training projects and meet deadlines.

Job: Learning & Development (L&D) Facilitator & Instructional Designer

Type: 9months contract

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Facilitator & Instructional Designer to deliver engaging training programs and develop high-quality learning solutions that support employee and leadership development.

The ideal candidate will have strong facilitation, communication, and instructional design skills, with the ability to create inclusive, interactive, and professional learning environments. This role requires someone who can confidently facilitate discussions, manage group dynamics, and develop learner-centered training materials for both in-person and virtual audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate instructor-led training in both in-person and virtual environments using established curricula and learning materials.
• Travel statewide as needed to facilitate in-person training sessions.
• Deliver training focused on:

  • Participant workbooks
  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Job aids
  • Learning resources
• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE and SAM.
• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather content, validate technical information, and develop relevant training materials.
• Collect and evaluate participant feedback and learning metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide observations and recommendations to program leaders regarding participant engagement and training effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate attendance, evaluation, and training records.
• Manage multiple training projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience facilitating instructor-led training, workshops, or adult learning programs.
• Proven experience designing and developing instructor-led and blended learning solutions.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, public speaking, and communication skills.
• Experience facilitating discussions involving diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) and other sensitive workplace topics.
• Experience delivering management and leadership development programs.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage employees at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using virtual learning platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coaching, consulting with, or supporting leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning analytics.
• Experience evaluating learning outcomes and using data to improve training programs.
• Experience with Articulate Storyline 360 is a plus.
