Job summary

Gilbert Unified School District is seeking a Paraprofessional Assistant for a Learning Lab. The role involves assisting in a special education classroom under the supervision of a licensed teacher, observing progress and supporting instruction.

Position is 9 months with an hourly rate of $16.31+ depending on experience; 8 hours per day. A Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required prior to processing and there is a DSC data recording component.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; may require equivalency per district policy.
• Para Pro Assessment testing and/or certification may be required.
• CPR/First Aid certification may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities under teacher direction to include all students.
• Confer with teachers regularly to evaluate student progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Implements instructional plans for individuals or small groups to meet learning goals.
• Maintain student files and instructional materials for accessibility and data tracking.
• Monitor students to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
