Responsibilities
- Help students complete classroom assignments and homework.
- Assist the teacher with lesson plans and individualized student supports.
- Help create a calm, structured, safe, and respectful classroom environment.
- Manage student behaviors by teaching problem-solving and self-regulation skills.
- Provide support and de-escalation strategies for behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Assist students in developing positive relationships with peers and adults.
- Support implementation of individualized behavior plans, accommodations, and interventions.
- Help students transition between classes and activities.
- Monitor and reinforce positive student behavior with consistent expectations.
- Assist students in participating in community-based learning and work-study opportunities.
- Communicate with the teacher and staff about student progress.
- Maintain documentation related to student behavior and participation.
- Support student independence, responsibility, and school success.
- Must be willing to secure and sustain a 7D driver’s license for transporting students.

- Regularly communicate with the teacher and other school staff regarding students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral progress.
- Maintain appropriate documentation related to student behavior, progress, and participation as directed by the program teacher or administration.
- Support students in developing independence, responsibility, and the skills necessary for success in school and beyond.
- Must be willing to secure and sustain a 7D driver's license to assist in transporting students to volunteer and work-study sites.
- Salary range: $18.24 - $29.18 per hour depending on experience
