The Learning Instructional Designer & Developer designs engaging, learner-centric training programs for enterprise-wide use. This role involves translating skill-based knowledge into clear learning outcomes, utilizing adult learning theory and rapid design methods to create effective solutions.

Consultation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs analysis, design, development, and implementation of training materials and programs.
  • Collaborate with business partners and subject matter experts to gather and validate content.

Design And Development

  • Develop interactive e-learning modules using tools like Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise).
  • Create collaborative, cohort-based learning experiences on platforms like Intrepid.
  • Supplement eLearning with multimedia assets using tools like Camtasia, Premiere Pro, Vyond, and Photoshop.
  • Ensure learning materials are accessible (WCAG 2.1 Level A) and comply with SCORM standards.
  • Design visually appealing assets in line with brand guidelines for various media formats.
  • Develop instructional materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Apply adult learning theories to design practical, application-based learning.
  • Build wireframes and use rapid prototyping to emulate the end-to-end learning experience.
  • Develop visual and interactive components for a consistent learning experience.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Learning Enablement team to explore new technologies.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to all audiences, including business leaders.

Evaluation And Improvement

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Continuously improving learning based on feedback and technological advancements.

Project Management

  • Manage small to medium-scale projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Serve as both the course developer and project lead with subject matter experts.
  • Communicate project status and updates to team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of instructional design experience with hands-on e-learning development for a Fortune 500 organization.
  • Experience designing cohort-based learning experiences (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of project management experience (AGILE methodology a plus).
  • Self-directed, agile, and flexible with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to design and develop multiple learning solutions in support of key Enterprise initiatives.
  • Knowledge of human behavior, adult learning, and training assessment, design, delivery, and implementation.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Articulate 360) and SCORM standards.
  • Strong graphic design and layout skills.
  • Proficiency with multimedia editing software (Premier Pro, Camtasia) and Wellsaid.
  • Knowledge of HTML, LMS, LXP, and VLE platforms.
  • Proficient with MS365 Office Suite, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

    If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

    For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 82,900 - 138,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

    This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
