Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking a Learning Experience Designer (LED) to support instructional design across courses and programs. You’ll consult with faculty to set goals, adopt learning technologies, and promote innovative teaching methods.

As part of the Instructional Design team, you’ll develop training materials, online resources, and assessments, while staying current on LMS, UDL, and AI-enabled teaching tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a college or university degree in related field.
• Bachelor’s degree as a baseline; advanced degrees preferred in instructional design, instructional technology, or related field.
• 5–7 years of work experience in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Consults with faculty to understand instructional goals and develop design solutions.
• Collaborates with faculty to implement learning technologies and optimize tools.
• Develops resources: training programs, online modules, and materials for teaching.
• Assists faculty in creating assessments and evaluation criteria across formats.
• Leads workshops and webinars on instructional design and technology use.
• Maintains knowledge of instructional design principles and emerging tech.
