Job description

Start Your Career Where It Actually Goes Somewhere

Most entry-level jobs give you tasks. This one gives you ownership, mentorship, and a front-row seat to how a national organization runs.

At the SGA Natural Gas Association, we help develop the workforce that supports critical energy infrastructure. And we’re looking for someone early in their career who wants to learn fast, grow fast, and be part of something real.

If you’re organized, dependable, and excited to build a career, not just get a job, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the engine behind our training programs and events, making sure everything runs smoothly and professionally.

  • Coordinate virtual and in-person training sessions
  • Communicate with participants (confirmations, reminders, follow-ups)
  • Support instructors and speakers with logistics and materials
  • Track attendance and keep records clean and organized
  • Help prepare and support conference sessions and workshops
  • Jump into live sessions and help make sure everything runs smoothly

You won’t be doing this alone—you’ll be trained and mentored by a strong team who will help you build real professional skills.

Who This Is Perfect For

This is for someone early in their career who is:

  • Recently graduated (high school, associate’s, or bachelor’s) OR has 0–2 years of experience
  • Extremely organized (you like checklists, calendars, and getting things right)
  • Reliable (if you say you’ll do it, it gets done—no excuses)
  • Detail-oriented (you catch things others miss)
  • Professional and eager to learn
  • Comfortable communicating via email, Teams, and basic office tools

👉 You do not need to know everything—we’ll teach you.

👉You do need to care about doing things well.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn’t a dead-end admin role.

  • You’ll gain experience in events, training, and operations
  • You’ll work directly with professionals across the energy industry
  • You’ll build skills that translate into multiple career paths
  • You’ll be mentored—not just managed

If you perform, there is room to grow. Period.

What Success Looks Like
  • Things are organized, accurate, and on time
  • People trust you because you follow through
  • Sessions run smoothly because you prepared them well
  • You get better every month
