Job summary

Villanova University is seeking a Training Specialist to design and deliver comprehensive staff and manager training, including live in-person and virtual sessions. The role collaborates with HR to identify skill gaps, develops compliant online content, and manages training records within the LMS.

You will support weekly orientation events, coordinate HR-sponsored programs, and contribute to talent development resources on the university website.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience designing and leading live trainings.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
• Working knowledge of a learning management system.
• Experience in higher education or nonprofit environment preferred.
• Ability to learn new technologies including AI literacy.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and deliver live in-person and virtual trainings for Villanova staff and managers.
• Coordinate logistics for trainings and HR events, including new employee orientation and annual luncheon.
• Collaborate with HR and University stakeholders to assess needs and tailor learning interventions.
• Utilize LMS analytics to improve program design and delivery.
• Maintain and update Talent Development content on the HR website; assist with special projects.
