Responsibilities

  • Schedule instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training across Renegade Academy.
  • Manage registrations, enrollments, calendars, attendance, and completion.
  • Coordinate classrooms, facilities, equipment, and materials for training delivery.
  • Send participant communications, reminders, updates, and follow-ups.
  • Support instructors before, during, and after sessions, including cancellations and make-up.
  • Maintain the master Renegade Academy learning records.
  • Create and maintain LMS courses, paths, and enrollments.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Learning & Development Specialist that will support the day-to‑day operations of Renegade Academy and help ensure learning programs are organized, accessible, accurately documented, and delivered smoothly. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, technology aptitude, responsive learner support, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

This role coordinates training schedules and logistics, administers the learning management system, maintains learning, apprenticeship, and certification records, and provides administrative support across Academy programs. The Learning and Development Specialist works across all Renegade Academy development portfolios and serves as a key point of coordination between Learning Managers, employees, instructors, subject matter experts, vendors, and business partners.

Core Responsibilities
  • Learning Administration and Coordination
    • Schedule instructor‑led, virtual, and hands‑on training across Renegade Academy
    • Manage registrations, enrollments, calendars, attendance, and completion
    • Coordinate classrooms, facilities, equipment, materials, and technology needed for training delivery.
    • Send participant communications, reminders, updates, and follow‑up
    • Support instructors and facilitators before, during, and after
    • Coordinate cancellations, rescheduling, and make‑up
    • Maintain the master Renegade Academy learning
  • Learning Management System Administration
    • Create and maintain courses, learning paths, sessions, groups, assignments, and enrollments within Renegade
    • Maintain accurate employee learning records and completion
    • Support course configuration, catalog organization, naming conventions, and established Academy standards.
    • Troubleshoot routine learner access and platform issues and elevate technical concerns when needed.
    • Support testing of new learning management system features, updates, and
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager learning management system
  • Apprenticeship and Certification Management
    • Maintain apprentice enrollment, progression, required hours, competencies, and supporting
    • Coordinate apprenticeship records with instructors, supervisors, and program
    • Maintain certification, credential, and practical‑evaluation
    • Track required documentation, expiration dates, milestones, and outstanding
    • Support NCCER and other apprenticeship and certification
    • Ensure apprenticeship and certification records remain complete, accurate, organized, and audit‑ready.
  • Program and Learner Support
    • Provide support to Learning Managers across Renegade Academy development
    • Prepare participant materials, rosters, reports, evaluations, and training
    • Coordinate instructors, subject matter experts, vendors, participants, and business partners as needed.
    • Track program milestones and follow up on outstanding
    • Help employees and managers navigate Academy programs, requirements, systems, and resources.
    • Provide timely and responsive support that contributes to a positive learning
  • Reporting and Records
    • Maintain accurate learning, attendance, completion, certification, apprenticeship, and program records.
    • Produce routine reports on participation, completion, learning hours, apprenticeship progress, and other Academy metrics.
    • Support data collection for program evaluation and Renegade Academy
    • Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent records and coordinate timely
    • Provide Learning Managers and program leaders with reliable information needed to monitor participation, progress, and outstanding requirements.
  • Academy Operations and Process Improvement
    • Support Academy communications, documentation, processes, and standard operating
    • Assist with vendor coordination, invoices, purchase requests, materials, and maintain organized digital files, templates, forms, and program
    • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve Academy administrative
    • Support the implementation and testing of new administrative workflows and
    • Provide coordination support for new Renegade Academy initiatives as priorities evolve
